  1. I live in a valley, so mountains are nothing new to me. But when I lived in downtown Vancouver BC, I absolutely loved my view of English Bay. I still dream of it sometimes. πŸ™‚

  2. As much as I love the aquamarine blue of the ocean and the sound of waves crashing against the shores, I think I’d prefer the height of the mountains, looking down on the beauty below me. The reason for this is two-fold. Firstly, I live in a city that was once an ancient lake bed so the forked rivers flood the area every decade or so, sometimes to the point of people needing to evacuate their homes, so living that close to that large a body of water (like the ocean) would be scary for me. Secondly, I’m short, so looking down on the world kind of appeals to me! Also, I currently live on a prairie, so the change of elevation could be exhilarating. πŸ™‚

  3. By the ocean. I love walking the beach and swimming at night or early evening. I love the sound of the waves and the salt tinged air. πŸ™‚

  4. It’s the ocean for me. Probably because I’ve always lived so far from one. Then again, there aren’t exactly any mountains outside my window here in Ohio…

  5. toughy ‘cos I do like mountains, but I think I’d have to go with ocean… I need to be near water. My idea of a nightmare is living somewhere landlocked :p

  6. The mountains. I love the power of the ocean, and its temperamental attitude, but I’m not a beach person.
