Good. He cares more about those damn flowers than he does me, anyway. I’ll show him. I’ll show them both. I don’t need them or this place.
I slipped my only prized possession—my grandmother’s necklace with a miniature lightning whelk pendant—over my head, said C’est la vie to the dated marshmallow-white furniture smothered by pepto bismol pink walls, and scurried down the tree outside my window like a human crab.
Oh wow, very descriptive. I like it.

I enjoyed reading your sentences. 🙂 I have no idea what a “lightning welk” pendant is so I’ll look that up in the dictionary. You are increasing my vocab this morning. I had marshmallow-white furniture as a girl.

I love the description of the furniture and paint! Sounds like a girly-girl’s room! From the words the MC uses, she doesn’t seem like a girly-girl at all.
