If you could…

Today I’m starting a new post for Fridays.  It’s called, “If you could…”

Today’s question:

If you could literally transport into a novel and become part of the main story line, what novel would you choose and why?

I can’t wait to read your answers.

  1. Definitely. Meg Cabot’s Abandon. The story of Persephone is my favorite Greek myth. And my own personal dark angel blowing in out of no where to save me and make all my wishes come true? Wow!

  2. I read this on Friday and then got called away before I could comment. I like this new Friday post idea! There are so many stories I’d like to jump into, mostly those involving the past (that’s why I write about it), or fantasy realms, like ‘The Hobbit’. 🙂

  3. Any of the Harry Potter books. I just loved that world so much. But I have to be a witch. I can’t live in the muggle world. 🙂

  4. “The Testament” by John Grisham. I would want to be the daughter who became a missionary in a remote village across the world. She never knew her father but inherited a fortune from him when he died. She refused the money. She lived in a hut just like the people she helped.

    1. Sounds very noble. I’m not sure I would be such a humanitarian. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would fare well living in a 3rd world country (but if things keep going the way they are, we all might be sooner than we’d like).

  5. What a great question. Maybe Brent Weeks Lightbringer series. I’d love to be able to draft colors into objects. Or maybe Terry Goodkind’s sword of truth series…or…so many to pick from.

  6. Hmm… I’d go with the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. If you read about the men I would not have to explain myself! What i am reading from previous comments is, we women are pretty much drawn to fake men in books. 🙂 So to break that – I would love to be in Emma or any Jane book because I love the time and the simplicity. Yes their problems seem huge but in the end it’s all rainbows.

  7. Oh my goodness, love this! Of course, my very first thought was to be dropped right in the middle of Rivendell with Legolas (lol, I am so in love with him!) … or perhaps Camelot, with Lancelot, dancing in the meadow on May Day …. but then again, I can get totally engrossed in the Mists of Avalon, too … floating in the barge, parting the mists … oh, which to choose? 🙂

  8. My go-to answer would be Harry Potter, just cos I love that whole world.

I am, however, in the middle of Walter Scot’s Ivanhoe, and I’m really loving the setting and cast of characters… Might not be the best place to be though, seeing as how it’s set in the 12 century and all :p

Great idea for Friday posts! I look forward to them!
