Official bio:
J. (Jenny) Keller Ford grew up as an Army brat, traveling the world and wandering the halls of some of Germany’s most extraordinary castles. From the time she was old enough to hold a crayon, she wove fantasy tales of dragons, warriors, and princesses. A former paralegal, she’s the author of several short stories including The Amulet of Ormisez, Dragon Flight, and The Passing of Millie Hudson. Her debut YA novel, IN THE SHADOW OF THE DRAGON KING, is scheduled to release Summer 2016 by Month9Books. When not at her keyboard breathing new life into fantasy worlds, Jenny spends time overloading on coffee, collecting seashells, bowling, swimming, riding roller coasters and talking plotlines with anyone who will listen. She lives on the west coast of Florida with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and a pretentious orange cat. Her two daughters and grand-daughter make their homes in Seattle, WA.
Regular ole me bio: Ok. Let’s get it out of the way. I’m a book freak, like in I prefer real books over digital books any day of the year. There is and never will be anything that compares to the feel and smell of a real book. Technology has its place, but when it comes to books, it made reading sterile. Give me dog-eared pages, frayed edges and broken spines. It’s how I know a book was well-loved.
I was born in Germany, adopted into an American military family and grew up traveling everywhere. I suppose that’s why I have a travel bug within me. I would love to visit as many castles in the world as possible and collect sea shells from as many beaches I can find. If only I had a magic money tree to fund one of my greatest passions.
I was a majorette in high school and even won some trophies for my twirling. I tried it not to long ago. I got dizzy.
I love to write Young Adult fantasy. My novel IN THE SHADOW OF THE DRAGON KING is complete and has been picked up by Month9Books, and the other two in the trilogy are well underway. For me, a day without writing is like a day without breathing. I think only other writers can understand.
Thing that soothe this savage beast: soft jazz, sunsets, my kids, family and friends, walking the beach, collecting sea shells and playing with my pets. I dabble in glass painting and decorating with the sea shells I find. I also make some killer chocolate chip cookies.
Oh, and I’m a sucker for animals. If I ruled the world, there would be no strays and homeless pets. Too bad I have no desire to rule the world.

Thank you for showing your interest in my work, Jenny. If you like, you may want to consider subscribing through email so you do not miss my posts. I only post 1-2 per week, so this won’t inundate your emails, I hope. Current WP subscription only allows new posts displayed in the Reader section, which means only those doing email subscription are regularly updated. If you are interested, I would be more than happy to send you a brief instruction for email subscription. Thank you, many blessings and much love to you. 🙂

Ah, I’d be happy to read a chapter of yours, if you like to send it to me. But do not expect great comments though, as my literary skill is quite at the minimal, hehe. However, yeah, I’m happy to help if you need it. I am still brainstorming my book. Initially I wanted to finish early, but now I don’t want to rush it, trying to be more careful. 🙂 I’ll post something about this sometime later, perhaps in March or something.

What a sweetheart you sound like.
I too, have a weakness for the fairy tale. I am writing a story for my sons now. They are all so thrilled with it, and my oldest is begging me to take it further. He is an insatiable reader, so his encouragement feels good. I started a blog to get out my random musings, but I’ve created a page just for sharing parts of my story for critique. Unfortunately, I don’t get much feedback, perhaps the blogging community is just too kind. 🙂 Best of Luck to You, I will actively look for you titles 🙂

Thank you, kzackuslheureux, for stopping by and leaving such kind words. I love it when I see new faces hanging about. I will certainly check out your blog. Word of caution if you don’t mind…if you plan to go a traditional publishing route with your books, you may want to password protect your ‘critique’ pages. That way, agents and publishers won’t consider any of your work ‘published’. If you plan to self-publish, then you don’t have to worry about it. 🙂 Best of luck to you, too. I hope you stop by again.

Well thank you for the advice. I’m not exactly sure how to “Password protect” but I’ll have to figure it out. I don’t any of all that, I just know I love a good story. 😀 I’ll have to stop in again and see what’s happening on you blog. Have a lovely weekend! Smiles, Kreta
