how to braid arm pit hair

Is anyone else’s blog dying a slow death?

This time last year, my blog had almost 200 hits a day.  This year, I’m lucky if I hit 30 a day.  Two days ago, I had 16 hits.  What happened?

I look back at what I was doing then.  Nothing really different than now.  It’s like my blog caught some cyber disease and is slowly croaking.  I wonder if I should put it out of its misery or perhaps start up a blog on how to braid arm pit hairs. I hear there are lots of patterns depending on the length.

What do you think?  Has anyone braided their pit hairs?  Did you use beads?  Orrrr, maybe you pierced or tattooed your arm pit?  Remember, pictures speak 1,000 words.  I’m not sure if anyone would want to see them, but hey…what a conversation piece, eh?

  1. I think MariaSophia has the right idea, although there have been points made with the changes in stats record which make sense, too. Since I haven’t been very active in the blogger world lately, I can see that others may have gone that route, too. It certainly isn’t your content – and I’m sure the title of this one will certainly grab more attention than usual! lol

Don’t stress about the numbers. We still love what you’ve done with the place. 🙂

  2. Yes, I see the same thing. But I am not blogging every day like I used to. I went from 150+ per day to under 70 on most days when I post. I do get hits on older posts on off days too, tough. I wish I new how many people read from their emails. I know that is how I read a lot of blogs, and I would never register as a hit, even though I read the entire article.

  3. LOL. Your title certainly grabbed me. I could almost braid mine at this point in our northern climate. I agree with the changes made in stats that that might be some of it. Also, a lot of folks do the A-Z challenge in April and lie low right before that to recharge.

  4. I, like most of the commenter s will have to pass on the pics too. 🙂 Although I’m sure your blog hits will double for every new pic you put up of your braided pits. lol My blog hits also has gone down, mostly I think of my inactivity 😦

  5. Ewwww. Seriously good title and original idea though!

I don’t know what to say about engagement. I struggle too. Maybe people are still hibernating? Wait- people don’t do that. Okay. I’m at a loss.

  6. Don’t fret over it, Jenny. I think you’ve got a lot of people tuning into your wares. As for arm pit hair? I *might* be able to do something with my legs at this point but not the pits. 😉

  7. I bet this title will grab a few new readers today, Jenny. In fact, I’m tweeting this post just to help that along!

Although I don’t have much time to read blogs these days (because my editing business has to take priority), I know when I come here, my time will be well spent.

  8. I don’t really worry too much about the numbers myself, but I think a lot of people are feeling overwhelmed by social media (I seem to read an awful lot of posts or essays or articles about that lately), where they are taking a break from reading other people’s blogs or commenting on them, so that they can reprioritise on the things which really matter (like getting their own work done).

  9. At the same time that WordPress changed their reader page they changed the way that they keep track of page views. There are probably no fewer people reading your blog than before, the numbers are just calculated differently. (I don’t know the specifics, I’m not really interested in the numbers myself.)

    1. I agree–I think this has a lot to do with it. From what I heard from other bloggers, site visits dropped significantly after that change, at least as per the stat page. In reality, they probably didn’t.

  10. I moved my blog to my website and I have yet to recoup the level I was at on WordPress. I say keep on with what you’re doing.
As for braiding arm pit hair – I will have to pass. I can’t stand the itch when I let my hair grow more than four days without a shave. I will share any pictures you post of your braids with beads😜
