Six Sentence Sunday is something I’ve noticed lots of my blogger buddies doing and today I’ve decided to join in the fun. The following are the first six from a YA WIP I haven’t visited for a while titled The Last Someone. I’m not sure if it’s worth pursuing. Your comments and ideas might help me to decide.
“Adelaide Montgomery, get your butt downstairs right now! Your father and I are waiting. We have to leave in fifteen.”
“Yeah, well you can keep waiting,” I mumbled, throwing the last of my clothes into my suitcase. With a quick zip, I chucked the luggage out the window onto my dad’s perfectly manicured lawn, smashing his roses. I smiled.
If you want to find out more, or check out some other great sets of six sentences, check out the site: http://www.sixsunday.com. The site updates every Sunday at 9 am.
Got for it!

Sounds like a typical rebellious teenager! It does leave us wanting more, which is a good thing! Good luck with it. 🙂

Spooky! I decided yesterday that I was going to start doing this too, but, due to the time difference I’d already done my Su day post *pouts*
I will be joining you NEXT Sunday 🙂
Love your sentences!

I like it! I like the throwing on the roses part. I’d kill my kid… and any of my kids knows it. Good characterization.
I didn’t see your name on the Six Sentence Sunday List.

Yeah, I posted this before 9 am and forgot to go back and put my name on the list. I’ll do it now. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
update: ooops, missed it. Looks like the list is closed.

Yeah, they close it off. Pretty stringent group. You can sign up mid week, and just post by 9AM sunday. That’s good for silly heads like me.

Oh, I like how she ruins Dad’s roses–typical teenage behavior. I had a cousin take a chainsaw to his parents rose bushes once when he was upset!

Oh, how funny, well, not to the parents. 🙂

I really want to know why she’s running away and why she’s so angry with her dad. An intriguing opening.

Thank you. I don’t have a lot written on this one but I keep coming back to it, wondering if I should finish.
