I thought the story was decent enough and I could see where it would appeal to YAs, but I thought it went astray. Vivian is a teenager and is concerned for the mundane things in life, make-up, etc. but I found this part of her shallow. On the whole the book is good, but I had to force myself to read it. I found it to be slow, dull and irritating. I found Vivian to be unlikeable, vain, arrogant, nasty and shallow. For a YA book, I thought there was too much emphasis on sex, but I guess that’s what YAs want these days. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
