Melancholy Moon

Melancholy Moon

Your heart rests upon the melancholy moon
Forward looking to sunlight kiss
Cascading rain showers caress your eyes
A forgotten soul left to drown
In waterfall mist.

A seagull flew on a bead of golden light
Touching your hair of autumn brown
Wistfully leaving pearls of love’s breath
On mystic memories of night
And sorrow is gone.
